Texans WR1 Nico Collins has passed all tests for hamstring, no setbacks, per league sources, regained speed, mobility, ready to go. Matter of when, not if he'll be designated for return.

Whats the hold up, sounds like hes ready to go now.

As the #Cowboys weigh in on Dak Prescott’s IR status, sources tell me the initial diagnosis is a partial avulsion of his hamstring tendon which is partially torn off the bone. I’m told it typically takes more than a 4 week recovery. In some cases, they let it scar over, repair and then strengthen. With that being said, Prescott is seeking other opinions which is why there is currently a reluctance to place him on IR or make any determinations about a timeline for return

With Nico Collins still not practicing today and not designated to return from IR, it makes him a long shot to play Sunday night vs. the Texans.

My league is very tight, top to bottom, and wins are very hard to come by. My opponent has been treading water with both McCafferey and Collins on IR, and I thought "Great, I'm the guy that gets the beat up team back to full strength." Now, Collins is looking like he won't play and if McCafferey is on a pitch count, I'd be ecstatic.

Cowboys EVP Stephen Jones on
@SASportsStar on QB Dak Prescott (hamstring): “More than likely, he’ll be on (injured reserve) by the end of the week. We’re just making sure we’re checking all the options.

“With his situation, it’s probably gonna be one that is gonna take a full four weeks before he could even think about making a return, if not longer.

“… At some point (the injury) could (require surgery). No one is recommending it now.”

Not terribly fantasy relevant considering the team, but report is that Trevor Lawrence is trending out this week and may need surgery.

Rapp reports that Trevor Lawrence is considering options regarding shoulder injury

Mac Jones is the back up. Maybe he can hand the ball to one of the running backs? C.J. Beathard signed to active roster. Lawrence officially list as questionable.

Yes, it is fantasy relevant and it is horrible news. Lawrence and BTJ's deep connection has been one of the best in the league this year.

Now we get to watch Evan Engram rack up 9 catches on 17 targets for 42 yards.

Never want to see anyone get hurt. But, I wonder how this impacts Shakir, Cooper and Kincaid.

Kincaid will lead the team in targets because he's the preferred option when Josh Allen throws the ball away or feels like bouncing one at someone's feet. Shakir will continue to eat. Cooper will lethargically trot to either a 8 REC 2 TD line or 2 REC for 11 YDS line.

I drafted Kincaid this year because of his talent and # of available targets with Diggs gone but it's frustrating to watch. He's a good player and fantasy analytic sites love his projections because of the target volume, but a lot of those targets are not true targets. A large share of those targets are when Josh is running around playing hero ball and has to get it rid of it so the ball is thrown at Kincaid's feet or out of bounds while Kincaid is near the sidelines. It's extremely frustrating to watch but a perfect example of those analytic sites watching boxscores and not watching football. Rant over
