Mike Davis was a RB1 last year. Mattison is a RB1 if anything were to happen to Cook. It’s not even necessarily about the talent, rather the workload guarantee

Jamaal Williams and Gio Bernard were the same way last year too. You don't just have top 15 caliber RBs sitting at the end of your bench.

We know players with fairly predictable volumes have starting potential. Anyone else is a bench guy bc their volume comes and goes.
With an injury, a guy like Hubbard or Marrison become fairly predictable volume guys. It’s worth more than a up and down WR
Ya just gotta know when to draw the line on real depth and when dip into the handcuff pool, and which ones have a clear path to volume and no time share
