You didnt do anything wrong, I just had a similar instance happen to me and one of the other owners emailed me about it. I wanted to leave the player on the dl 1 more day but didnt want to break any rules.

Just took a look at his lineups. He moved Wisler and Norris to the bench the day they had starts on Thursday and Friday. Would've hit the min had he started them.
That's pretty egregious

Did he start anyone after the benched starts?

And DJ30, it wasn't being ignored. We just had bigger fish to fry before worrying about two bottom feeders and their results last week.
It doesnt effect me 1 bit, I was just bringing up because it looks like he did it on purpose.

He started Nova on Saturday.

Nova. But he had 19.2 going into Saturday with only 1 start left and then 27 going into Sunday. Didn't really make an attempt to hit the min.

Damn. I missed out on a whole lot over the past hour. I was not trying to not get innings. I honestly thought I had Fister going again later in the week since he went Monday. I apologize for only getting 29 or whatever but it wasn't on purpose.

So he tried to make it look like he was trying....even more deceptive than once thought.
Burn him

Was I paying super close attention to a 17 vs 18 matchup? No I wasn't. I guess I should've cared more

Maybe that's why you're in 17th. I spend every moment of every day thinking about my roster.
I'm not saying you did it on purpose because I know you're a good dude from the atl league, but it's a bad look

Like I said, I didn't do it on purpose. It may be a bad look, but I have made several moves over the past three weeks or so to rebuild for next year. I've been active all year, but I am in other leagues right now where playoffs are involved. My first priority isn't this league that is basically over for me this year.

Please tell me people have more pride than to try to lose on purpose in this league.
So what are your thoughts on Earl's pitching lineup?
If you're not trying to win aren't you essentially losing on purpose?

I don't know. He's got a lot of injuries to players that I wouldn't want to drop either:
Mesoraco
Profar
Delgado
Paxton (frick you for that shite)
I wouldnt be hanging on to Mejia though.

Earl's MO has always been to pay $150 per season for 6-7 years with no intention of winning, then in year 8 have a supersquad, recoup 800 bucks then blow it up.
I hope he isn't a financial advisor.

Well Delgado has been a FA most of the year. Kela was optioned Aug 1st. Meija has an 80 game suspension. These are active, starting players... Been doing it for most of the season.
If we are saying this is acceptable, watch for more tankers in the coming years

I don't know this owners situation. But not meeting the IP isn't always about tanking; sometimes it is a strategic gamble. I don't think the league should rain down fire on someone every time IP isn't met without getting an explanation from the owner first.
For instance: I'll admit that, earlier in the season, I had 34 IP going into Sunday and I purposely didn't use a SP that was making a start that last day because it was a horrible matchup. I think I had 7 RPs on my roster at the time, so I gambled that one of them would throw on the last day. I think half of them ended up throwing and I ended up with 38 IP or something, so it ended up working. Think I won the week 7-5 and edged out on a couple of close pitching categories.
I also almost did the same thing this week against DJ30. I had a slight lead in ERA while at 33 or 34 IP, so I considered not throwing SP Karns over the weekend while hoping my RP's pick up the remaining IP. I decided to throw Karns, he got shelled and I lost the ERA category for the week by 1/2 a point (4.25 to 4.6). Had I not thrown him, I may have won that category (in hindsight, my RPs would have picked up the remaining IP for me to qualify, just like before).
So I gambled once and played it safe the second time. Now if the guy has like 20 IP for the week or something far off like that, then yeah, I understand throwing the book at him because that's obviously nothing to do with a strategy decision.
Just my .02 that not all failure to meet IP limits are equal.
