But it's not cut and dry. What the rules state and what fantrax allowed contradicted one another. If you weren't in persecution mode and was even remotely objective, you'd understand my defense. You are however entitle to feel whatever way you want... and I'll stash that opinion away in my "don't give a crap box that gyno thinks I cheated box". I'm sure it will come in handy one day.

I thought we've already established that.

This is such a weak argument papz. How does what the fantraz site allowed you to do trump the clearly stated rules we agreed to abide by?

I can't believe he's still going with this line of defense. I guess once you get a certain point there is no turning back.

I agree with your point in the strictest sense, however, considering the scale of this infraction and the fact that it was cheating, adhering to the letter of the law would just further damage the league. I think in instances such as this, it makes sense to go off script and craft a punishment that is fair to the other 19 teams.

This is a democracy why don't we vote on Papz's outcome?
1. Leave everything as is
2. Leave everything as is with no playoffs
3. Vacate all wins

Because of the way I interpreted the rule. I get I was operating in a gray area. However since it was allowed by the site and not enforced by anyone including my opponents, I felt I was walking on the right side of that fine line. What I did in hindsight comes off shady, I don't deny it... however the loophole that it appears I exploited was illegal. Had I known it was illegal from the get go, I wouldn't have done it.
You'd think by playing 4 years with some of the same folks one would get the benefit of the doubt. But apparently not. I don't need anyone to come and vouch for me but if you've played with me before and over the past 4 years, I'm not a person one would need to question as far as league integrity is concerned. It's probably the only thing I've found surprising today.
As I've said before, you guys do what you must. Whatever penalty comes my way, I'm not going to sit here and cry about it. I still like my solution of just playing it out and donate any winnings I may receive straight to charity to lessen the butt hurt around here. That's up to y'all though.

What did you think was the reason for creating a certain number of minor league slots if the league's intention was for you to be able to freely move 40 year old veterans back and forth depending on which teams happen to play that day?

I'm with you... but do you stick by that rule when it's 30+ days instead of just one? Or do you apply something different in a circumstance like this?
We all know that he wouldn't have lost 0-12 every week if he had been playing it legit, but we don't know exactly what the outcome would have been.
I wouldn't have a huge problem with forcing him to forfeit every day he had an illegal lineup... I do think it would be unfair to the other 14 teams, but so it goes sometimes.

Why wouldn't I continue with it? It's how I honestly felt and interpreted the rule.
Once you get to a certain point, make sure you send me a thank you card. Have you high five'd Jesus yet?

So did you know the rule, but since fantrax allowed it you just did it anyway? Or are you claiming to not know the rule and just going by what fantrax allowed?
I think you knew the rule, but since fantrax allowed it, you thought that would be your "out" when someone called you on it.
Otherwise...
You would have had to not read the rules on the original thread for this league
Not read the discussion where it was pointed out that fantrax doesnt regulate MiLB IP and AB
Not referenced the rule book page or questioned yourself when putting a 14 yr vet Jake Peavy on your minor league roster
I am objective as they come. I fricked up myself by not reading the rules and even drafted a team based on assumed scoring. I can show empathy in a lot of situations.

Look, I don't know you. I don't think you blatantly attempted to cheat, I don't think anyone in here would do that. Well, that's probably being generous, but I find it unlikely. I think you thought you found a loophole and rather than checking the rules or asking someone or posting in here, you ran with it. I'm surprised it took this long for anyone to notice, or for you to ask about it... I think that's where the fault lies... common sense should say that back on day 3 when you put Victorino in a Minors spot it should raise a red flag that something isn't right... but you thought you had a loophole.
By the rules anyone over the threshold in a Minors spot creates an illegal lineup. By the rules an illegal lineup results in zero stats for the day. If we stick to the rules 100%, there's the answer.

Sorry fantasy baseball isn't important enough for me to have some kind of premeditated diabolical plan and excuse to pull a fast one over everyone's head. Maybe to you, but definitely not me. It is exactly they way I explained it to be. Anyone could have pointed out at anytime and the issue would have been remedied. What I did was transparent... let's not act like I was trying to fool everyone. Whether you continually try to ignore my point of view, that's your problem. I can't make impartial people to be partial... nor do I feel to need to continually argue with someone who just likes to argue for the sake of it.

Fwiw, someone who has played in a league with you contacted me and thinks you cheated with full knowledge of doing so.

That's great... we know it's Lou. No need to hide behind "someone".
Posted on 5/8/15 at 5:06 pm to papz
I've read every single one of your responses and it's still not clear to me if you knew the rule and ignored it and went by what fantrax allowed... or you did not know the rules regarding minor league roster eligibility.
No need to be defensive. Just curious which one you were going by.

Someone gets it. I should have asked but it's not like something I tried to hide from everyone. I did it from the get go. To say I'm was blatantly cheating... fine. They're certainly entitled to their opinion. I however remain firm in my defense. I'm not going to lose any sleep over it.
Posted on 5/8/15 at 5:10 pm to papz
It wasn't Lou. That's all I'll say on the topic. The fact that Lou would think that too isn't saying much for your reputation. Just sayin.

Are you really faulting the rest of the owners for not checking his lineup to see if it was valid? lol
Knowing the rules and then using a "loophole" (polite for cheating) is bullshite.

Haters are going to hate... doesn't phase me. If they're going to be man enough to question my integrity, no need to hide behind closed doors. We're all grown adults here.
