I took a flyer on him and traded a 3rd round pick for him in dynasty. I’d imagine his KC days are numbered but I’m hoping someone else gives him a shot. Any reason at all for optimism or did I waste a pick?

Yes
He isn’t a difference maker running the ball
He isn’t a difference maker in pass protection
And his receiving chops aren’t good enough to make up for the above 2 issues
In all fairness, he’s a great college RB that thrived, not because he was elite, but because everyone around him was elite

He'll make a stop or 2 more around the league as a committee back that'll be good enough for spot starts here and there. He'll be a fringe RB2/FLEX play at best. Carlos Hyde career trajectory.
