It's always driven me crazy when people do this. Obviously it should benefit the rest of the league because more players will be available for waivers. It just seems stupid.

But, Week 1 with CMC being a surprise inactive, it's making me reconsider whether or not it could be a good strategy going into Sunday and Monday night so that you'd have the spot open to pick up a guy like Jordan Mason.

I'm not suggesting dropping anyone of relevance. I guess I'm wondering what others may think about this. Thoughts?

What happened with cmc is the exception not the norm.

And if you have an empty bench spot, why not grab your plan b option now in case if a player is ruled out? Guess it depends on how many different guys you have that are injured.

i have 4-5 injured rn

I agree with your line of thinking. I guess I was looking for anyone that disagreed with me and could make a good argument to change my mind.

My guess is that people who do this are just bad at fantasy football, they aren't doing it for the advantage that you're speaking of

You're probably right. That's what's great about this board though. Even bad ideas can lead to good things.

It isn’t an advantage to drop a guy on Friday in case you might pick up a guy on Monday. Just pick up that player on Friday.

I don’t do it, but the people I see doing it are very experienced players. I never see this in my family/friends league.
