so that you don't use that roster spot to be a douche and freeze a ton of players.
That's the linchpin of Gyno's waiver wire scheme.

A guy shouldnt go straight to waivers if he's added and dropped right away, he should be a FA. He should have to be on a roster 24 hours before going to waivers. This is the standard, yes?
If Im reading correctly you're telling me I have to hold on to a guy on my roster for 24 hours before I can drop him? Cant do that P, not at this point

I don't think he does. I will try it and find out.

You've been in divisions with Gyno before. You know how he roles.
ive literally done that once in however many years
ya a dummy if you dont have a contingency plan in place for that situation last year

I just picked up Brandon Allen...then I dropped him right after. He is now on waivers until the waiver wire friday morning.
Like I said, since we want to be able to bid on free agents, they go straight to restricted no matter how long they have been on your team, so there is an option that says you have to have a player you pick up on your team for one whole day. I don't know of any other way to prevent someone from using a roster spot to add / drop (churn) free agents.

Why not?

ya that's regulated on the FA/Waivers end, not restricting our roster movements
say one keeps a flexible roster spot, they may cycle though it 2-3 times throughout a day based on what's going on in the news. dont think we can impinge on one's strategy at this point iMO

:sigh:
We will do this: If a player is added and dropped within 24 hours and someone wants that player, I can manually add them. That prevents churning and doesn't prevent someone from being able to drop a player they just picked up.

dont think that warrants a sigh but ok
Posted on 9/6/17 at 10:32 am to GynoSandberg
It warrants a sigh because I cannot please everyone, and no matter what the situation is someone is not going to be happy in a 24 team league.

I don't disagree with your point though. Still searching for that perfect site with the perfect setup.

this league is advanced enough to know if you're counting on a guy on Monday night and it's possible he may not play, that you need to have a contingency plan already rostered. instead of implementing a rule where you have to hold a guy on your roster 24 hours, owners can just make sure to do a better job w their roster

People complained about this last year. You were adding players at particular positions and dropping them right after to prevent people from adding a player at a certain position.
I definitely dont agree with the 24 hour thing though.
So I guess there really isnt a solution.

Guess I don't remember this. Didn't realize that was in place on RT.

bc it happened once i was adding and dropping guys like john kuhn bc someone was going into MNF without a replacement for an injured guy
Posted on 9/6/17 at 11:11 am to GynoSandberg
It wasnt just you. I did it to someone last year also. Was curious since Im in the division with you this year.
Posted on 9/6/17 at 11:26 am to dj30
There isn't much opp to do it bc most people cover their self
