i still dont understand why there is a limit. no one has any good reason.

How did you frick up the Sam Bradford add/drop?
It was done to prevent owners from locking up players by constantly adding/dropping them in a given week.

this is nearly impossible to do in football.

someone dropped a player on Wednesday. Lets call him Keith Poole.
I went in on Wednesday and looked to add Keith Poole to my waiver claim. He wasn't to be found in the player pool.
so i went back to the transaction page and clicked on Keith Poole's player page. It then brought up his page. In the top right corner there is an option that says "claim player". Since i could not put a waiver claim in the normal way, i thought i would give it a shot this way.
So i hit "claim player" on Poole's player page, and it brought me to my lineup page as if i had to drop another player to complete the waiver claim. Well, i selected Sam Bradford to drop.
I submitted Bradford to be dropped thinking that it would put it in a waiver claim que. Well, that didnt happen. Bradford was just outright dropped alone.
which brings about another question; why are guys that are dropped not put through waivers? The guy i wanted was only available as a Free Agent after being locked for 2 days. No waiver process with Keith Poole.

I'm in a league and jackasses know the rule is in place (can't add or drop same player in a given week) and they still do it. The players are locked until the next week, so if an issue arises where you have a late week injury, you could have virtually nothing to pick up worth a shite.

which is another reason it is stupid to put a cap on FA pickups
but i still fail to see how in this league how it could be a problem with people adding and dropping and blocking players.
any player you drop will be available to the whole league in 2 days again. SO there is no reason for anyone to even do that.

Let me say that the 4 player limit is a dumb arse rule. I to noticed it back in the beginning of the season, but I couldn't log into this place b/c the admins were to busy banning people instead of reseting pw requests. I didn't post it on the site, b/c nobody looks at the board on that site, b/c everyone does their chatting in here.
FWIW Earle, you would not have gotten the SF defense, that's who I was denied of getting on Wednesday morning due to that gem of a rule.

I would have allowed Les to pick up the SF D since he dropped Bradford in error, but I didn't get an email and he didn't post who he wanted to pick up. I didn't see his request until today.
As for the claim, I believe that there is a box that you are supposed to check, or a drop down that says don't execute unless "player that you are picking up" has been added. I want to wait until the first set of waivers process on Wednesday. After that, I will try to add someone who was dropped that same day to see what it does.
Also for the limit of 4, I kept it that way because Gyno said that he tried earlier in the season but had exceeded the limit and thought it should stay at 4. I didn't think it would have been fair after the fact.
This is my first year as TDFL commish, and with the new site there's been some slight heartburn with a few things here and there. I apologize. We'll just have to work through it. Overall, I think things have gone smoothly considering the circumstances with adding new owners, changing the standings, new site, ect. It will get better.
Going forward if you have a situation with your roster, send an email to me, Redd, & Clams. They have commish access as well. One of us should be able to address it.
