Thanks. I hope sports gaming will eventually pass but it seems like a lost cause for this year. I hate for DFS to be brought down in this session because of gaming.

I could care less about sports gaming being passed. Find a local or offshore, you’ll get much better numbers than what the anywhere but Vegas crowd is offfering.

Looks like senate amendments got stripped. Not sure which ones. Both bills at same stage. Conference Committee.
Now we wait to see if both sides reach agreement on the bills. If so, it passes to governor. If not the bills fail and no dfs til who knows when.

We will know either way by Thursday I’m told.

I hope the Senate relents and they come to an agreement. Yesterday, there were only 41 "yays" to discharge the Appropriations committee on Martiny's gaming bill. It's just not going to happen.

It’s voted on by the people and these jackasses can’t figure a way to make it work. Absolute fricking joke

Talbot appointed as 1 of three to committee members. This helps.
Obv the bill writer would be there.
2 of the three on both voted yes.

The other 2 house reps will kill the sports betting aspect of it. Who are the 3 on the senate side?

Edit.
Looks like they are being appointed right now.

Smith, Cortez, and Martiny just got appointed to HB 459 and Morrell, Martiny, and Cortez (I think) are o HB 600. Still don’t think any of the house members will vote to keep the hijacker amendment.

That’s normal I’d think since it’s his amendment, but I’m not sure.

This is last straw. They don’t agree and bill fails.

When does this clown show start?
Posted on 6/5/19 at 5:51 pm to BallChamp00
Martiny is the author of the sports gambling bill and one of the most tenured in Congress.

Congress will start back tomorrow at 10am and they'll have until 6pm to make a decision or non-decision (which would lead to bill failure)

Why would Martiny continue this fight? Even if his amendments stick, there is no way that bill will pass with a 2/3 majority in the House. I don’t understand why he would insist on taking fantasy down with him.

I don’t even think they vote anymore. I think they just agree as a whole or not. At least that’s what I read. I’ll ask tho.
