Thanks. I think that I will be good after a possible Barkley pick at #2. As mentioned earlier, my league mates tend to do "crazy stuff" in the first round. I would not be surprise if both Mahomes and Jackson go in the 1st. Which means getting Josh Jacobs, Davante Adams, or Mixon might be in play for pick number 2 (and possible 3). Getting 3 Tier 1 guys would be nice.

You can count on them being gone by early 2nd round. When you draft with Nubs strange things happen. If that's what they do, pound the top tier RBs and watch them scramble for the leftovers come round 6-7. You'll have your pick of Brees, Brady, Stafford. Maybe Wentz. It'll do.

Keep us posted. Real curious how this will shake out for you.

Will do. Our Draft is Saturday afternoon. I'll post my results when we're complete.

The 2 pick has burrow as his starter - garbage
I don’t trust this league as expert

Seriously bro- get your facts straight

LOL! Where are you getting that? These are experienced players that have won various leagues and gotten promoted to the highest level league. No one said "expert", but they are experienced, highly competitive players, of that you can be assured.

For the record..

He started with Josh Allen at 7.02 and that's his starter. He's taking a flyer on Burrow as the QB2 at 12.11. A lot of analysts are high on Burrow in later round mocks right now. People reach for "upside players" towards the end. But I guess you knew that.

Burrow at 12.11 is solid value.

Give me Burrow there over Dak at 6.02.

Given my league's draft history, I would not be shocked if Burrow is off the board before Round 6. Deshaun Watson was a 2nd Round pick in 2018.

I've toyed with the idea of taking a backup QB on a 14 man/5-BN roster. If Burrow is still available in rounds 11 or 12, I might pull the trigger.

Any thoughts of taking either Mahomes or Jackson at 2/3 if available?

Though tempting, this is not a strategy I would employ. I've been playing a long time, and I've seen lots of different strategies employed. Though QBs are often the highest scorers in our system by far, it does not pay to take one early. It never works, and I've seen it happen many times--Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, others.

If you pick one of those guys, you're giving up either a solid RB2 or awesome WR1. And your next pick is a long way away. I'm taking best available RB and WR.

Thanks for the insight. Will definitely run sufficient mock drafts without (and with) Mahomes/Jackson at pick 2 or 3.

Here are the results of the Saturday's 14 Round draft (I'm Team 2)

Sept 5 FF Draft Results

While I did draft Barkley as expected at number 2, Mahomes was gone before my Round 2 pick. I passed on Jackson and decided then to stay conventional and go RB/WR/WR for the next 3 picks.

I was hoping to get either Wilson or Wentz in Round 6, but as is typical of my league someone drafts both Mahomes AND Watson with 2 of their 1st 5 picks. I'm not thrilled with Allen due to his inconsistency, but he definitely represents good QB value in the 7th Round. Getting Burrow was a bit of "Allen Insurance" and if he blows up, then all the better.

Overall I'm pleased with the draft. The only thing that I have doubts about was not taking a 2nd RB for a bench spot. Chase Edmonds was available but he appears to be a time-share at best to start the season. I decided to go with value as Brandon Aiyuk stands to get major playing time given Deebo Samuel's injury situation.

Thanks to all who gave suggestions.

Watson and Brady before your 2nd pick??

Oh well, all about having fun. My long term league from a Seminoles Message Board had Mahomes and Jackson go in the first round.

My $.02? I think you have a very good team. Mixon falling to you there is crazy. He's going in the first round a lot these days after getting paid. Seeing Jackson still there, I might have bit. You might have still gotten him in that league, but Conner or Drake (WTF?) still there you'd have been still stacked at RB at that point.

Loved that you got Taylor there in the 5th. I'd have waited on QB a little more. Not a fan of Allen and you're kind of weak at WR and could have gotten Boyd/Edeleman/Hollywood there in that round. And gone Goff. But that league reached for QBs EARLY so I get that. Burrow's going to BALL OUT. Watch, so that's some good insurance.

It's not where you start, it's where you end up, but you done good!

The guys in my league fall in love with their favorites. What's ADP got to do with anything?

Thanks for the feedback. I take it you're not to high on Hopkins and Allen Robinson? I know that I'm taking a risk with AJ Green and D. Jackson. Hopefully one of them will hit. Aiyuk has the skill set to do well in the SF offense.

I initially was going to pass on Allen, but didn't want to draft Stafford at that spot in Round 7. As you can see Stafford did go in the 8th, so I possibly would have missed out on both of them. Allen was definitely more of a Cheat Sheet/ADP pick, but hopefully he'll show a bit more consistency this year.

I don’t know why people are so down on Stafford. He was an absolute monster last year before getting hurt. He was on pace for 5000 yds and 38 TDs and reports are that he has been an absolute stud in camp. I drafted him around the 7th round. Detroit has no defense so they are constantly throwing it. I like him a lot more than Allen.

I think Allen will pan out, but I agree with you on Stafford. If he can avoid injury, he should have a great year.

No. Very high. You got good value for those two, so solid WR1s.

It's the rest. Now, Jackson's got a lot of upside as "the last man standing" right now. Green scares me too much, but maybe he comes back. Lot of "upside" WRs as free agents still so no worries. Always someone coming through. Watch for Laviska Shenault Jr. on the Jags for one.

I have him in 3 leagues. Great late round value. Should significantly exceed the value at his ADP. Paired him with Jones in one league and Burrow in another.

Thanks. Points well taken. Shenault is still available in my league, so I will definitely keep an eye on him.
