I’m more of the food snob than my wife, but those are mid-week casual dinners, not a date night, IMO.

That's fine, but the quality of food at Mandina's isn't very good, in my opinion.

"quality" is a pretty subjective term

I'm able to see it. Mandina's was a fine suggestion given the OP said he thought R&Os was an appropriate date night suggestion.
