Posers, stay on topic

Better places? Lets see, Applebees, Chilies, Rubys, etc pretty much the same thing just different name. Couple steak chains places but the kids arent into that. Kids wanted spaghetti, Wife said sallad sounded nice, everyone likes the bread, OG was on our way, and I could give a shits different where I ate. As long as they are happy I am happy. Could I cook a better meal at home? You Bet! Was I going to that afternoon, HELL NO.
Not like like I put on a tie and took the wife out for her birthday to Olive Garden.

Not sure to whom you are referring...if it is, in fact, me...whats wrong with trying to pick a better local eatery at the same price point over a chain that you personally dont think is very good?

I didnt call anyone an idiot for eating there or anyhting...I would encourage someone to branch out and try some local places if they have not, but if they have and didnt like them or still prefer Olive Garden, then that is their choice.

I really dont think that is food snobbery. Hell, Carraba's is much better than Olive Garden...and as I have stated many times, I like some chains...good food is good food. If all is equal though, I try to choose local.

I've been called a bottled water snob...
I don't drink Nestle, Ozarka, or Sam's Choice.

Nothing but Ty nant or Voss for me.

If it don't cost five bucks a liter, I'd just as soon drink horse piss.

Nothing says deliciousness like the hydrating bottles of class from Fiji and Norway.

And that's where you are wrong.

Firstly, Dasani, Aquafina and the like are worthless because all they are is bottled tap water. Artesian, spring, and mineral waters can actually possess unique flavor profiles due to the variety dissolved salts and minerals so not all waters are created equal.

Whats the most bowls you can eat at Olive Garden?

I've never eaten more than 2, and if you see me you know I can eat a shitload.

I don't mind Olive Garden whatsoever, but I would never make a trip from Central to Siegen just to go there. If I want Italian, I'll probably go to Carabba's, Monjunis, or Bravo (OMG CHAINS). I don't know of any better ones, unfortunately (If someone has a better option that isn't Pinetta's or Ruffino's, let me know).

I used to love Olive Garden simply for the salad and breadsticks, but now I'm a fan of the bread/olive oil mix appetizer.

Even at my hungriest I can only eat 2.

I'm like you though. I fill up on the salad.

i haven't been to Olive Garden this decade, but i won't lie....i'm a sucker binge eating challenges. I would like to think that eating more than 2 wouldn't be a problem. I really don't even know where the nearest Olive Garden is located. Is there one in Metairie?

For binge eating competitions, I recommend Sicily's. Full-service restaurants with all-you-can-eat items will bring tiny quantities of additional food out slower and slower until you give up and leave. My friend and I thought we were going to have a wing-eating contest on Hooters' all-you-can-eat wings, but they bring extra wings out five at a time, and they take 15-20 minutes to do it.

I have never tried all you can eat carb fest at the Oliver Garbage, but I do know that their commericals bug the shite out of me and make me wanna slap the actors:

"You do the math. I'm doing the Alfredo {fake and overdramatic laughter}."
