first of all, as i have stated dozens of times, i have always enjoyed your food and in fact, have patronized the jefferson location because i do like the food ... but laying the blame for the failure of your o'neal location on southeast baton rouge is lame as shite ... when you first opened the place, you had a good thing going .. you couldn't get a table in the place in less than 30 minutes on saturday and sunday and you had far better weekday business than you are claiming .. then you fricked around with your hours .. all of a sudden you go from being open 7 days a week from 7 to 2 to only being open wednesday thru sunday from 8 to 2 .. your food quality and prices aren't exactly greasy spoon prices, so you obviously needed to depend on people that actually work for a living .. when you close two complete days and then only open the other three weekdays at 8AM, what kind of fricking breakfast business are you going to get ?? almost anyone in your demographic is either at their desk by 8AM or they are driving to work .. southeast BR is a bedroom community that drives to work in the morning .. how you could expect your place to be packed three days a week at 8AM is ludicrous ... btw, if the decision was such a solid one, why did you change back to your old hours and days of operation a few months later ? because you made a mistake and you knew it .. so don't blame southeast BR, look in the mirror ...
once again, i think your food is good, really good .. i patronized the HELL out of your first location .. i was a loyal customer that voiced displeasure with your sudden change of hours and you came on here like a pompous arse fishing for compliments ... i still patronize your jefferson location .. it's a helluva spot .. you overpaid like hell for it and i sincerely sympathize with you on the nut you have to crack every month with that mortgage and overhead ...
the southeast BR spot shut down because you screwed it up, plain and simple .. does that make your place a bad one to eat .. NO .. does that mean you suck as a businessman .. NO .. the best businessmen in this town have made mistakes and learned from them .. hell, how many times has donald trump had to file for bankruptcy ?? but don't come on here like an arrogant jerk and take zero responsibility for what happened at your first BR location .. you had the business, you just bit off more than you could chew with the second location and the first paid for it .. it is just ashame that you won't admit it ..

You have made your point and should probably move on. I think alot of people agree with you. Getting into these petty pissing matches on internet message boards probably is not going to help you all that much and will only add fuel to those trying to argue with you.

Agreed...I haven't posted here in a long time because of the attitude of few of the posters. I just had to respond last night.
But you are right...it just takes up too much of my time to respond to the negitive comments.
Love the board though and I read it at least once a week.

I hang out on a few food message boards and chefs/owners pop in from time to time and it is good to have them on. Some are regulars too.

i do as well and enjoy that too .. and the high quality owners that i have noticed on a few of the other boards are incredibly graceful at how they handle any critiques that other posters give them about their places .. especially ones that make it clear that they consistently patronize their places -- i.e. put money in their pockets ... this guy just takes it to an entirely different level .. how can someone have a "beef" with you personally if they:
a. have never met you in their entire life and have no idea who you are ..
b. patronize your establishment consistently
if i had a personal "beef" with this guy, then why would i give him anywhere from $25 to $35 a week of my hard-earned money ?

quick one:
cube steak- brown in olive or canola
remove
make roux
add chopped onions and cook in roux
add 1 can (24 oz) of tomato sauce
add 1 can diced tomato, S&P
put cube steak back in sauce and cook for about 15 minutes
