Anyone cooking with algae oil?

Watched a video where a guy said it basically has no smoke point so it's great for cooking steaks inside the house.
Curious to see if anyone here can verify that claim.

Definitely useful when searing or deep frying rat inside. Any cooked food odor is gone by the next morning

535 degrees is the smoke point. I use it with my stainless steel pans. I often sous vide, and finish off my meats in my stainless steel pan. I usually set the temperature on my gas range to medium or medium plus for steaks, medium low for pork or chicken. It does not smoke. A little goes a long way.

I’m being snarky. Algae oil is expensive option that vegans love. For whatever reason. I don’t get those people. And yes it’s hard to smoke it up
