I miss this place.

So was the one on Coursey (forget the name) before there was a takeover.

I went there once and thought it was pretty good for Baton Rouge BBQ. Haven't been back since whatever transpired between ownership.

It’s not Texas level, but Sonny’s is good for what it is. And it’s consistent. Stay away from brisket and all the other meats are fine

Smoked chicken is the best thing they have going over there, and that isn't a knock against them.

TJ Ribs remains popular though I haven’t eaten there in years.

I enjoy their beef ribs.

How do they make money open one day per week at lunch only?

He does catering too . The seatings on Thursday and Fridays is to keep them in the customers minds and drives their catering business.

You should see the plant baws line up at 1030 to secure a seating and their delicious food.

Just stopped by Hannah for a quick lunch.
Really enjoyed what I tried!

I rarely get too excited about some places but I have to say, their roast, rice, and Gravy lunch special brought me right back to when my grandmother would prepare it. Fan-effin-tastic!

Haha.. it's not bbq per say, but ill be back once or twice a month for it when it gets colder outside.
