I too love the Key Lime Pie. If you are ever in Orange Beach, go to Coastal OB Restaurant. I have a friend that works there. At the end of the meal, I ask what was on the menu, she asked if I liked Key Lime Pie. She recommended the Key Lime Cheese Cake. We were stuffed after the meal, but had to try. The best form of key lime I’ve ever eaten. Now I want Key Lime Cheese Cake. Guess I need to make a trip.

The best lemon not homemade is at Russell’s Marina Grill at NO lakefront. Taste just like grandma’s with condensed milk, not that nasty lemon gel. I’ll have to check out Gambinos.

Gambino’s is not gel. Almost like a firm pudding. Like ice box pie texture maybe?

Legit though. And they have one in Metry or somewhere else down in the NOLA metro.

As a Floridian I have very strong opinions about Key Lime pie.

Its very easy to make. The simplest is key lime juice, egg yolks, and sweetened condensed milk (Nellie's has the recipe on the side of the bottle).

If you do want to end of buying it, if its green do not buy it. Its not real. Key Lime must be yellow and sour. Speaking of sour, for a mix up make a sour orange pie as well. Very similar concept.

Copelands used to do a no bake Key Lime cheesecake that was really good.
It was basically the key line pie recipe but no egg yolk and with cream cheese and condensed milk. Then it was set in a freezer.

That sounds great, might be much of the same. I know it’s one of the best things I’ve ever eaten!
