i don't smoke pot but i do like good munchie food.. my favorite place for munchie food is the aisle in Whole Foods that has the plastic bins of rice crisps, granola, and snack mixes with roasted nuts.. I could live off that stuff..

Ever had Schlittz and Giggles nachos.. they are beyond amazing! Over all everything from there is freaking delicious.. I think you would have to be drunk or stoned to eat there though.. wouldn't suggest it otherwise

speaking of this, i always thought it would be fun to open a place called "munch". Only serve apps/finger food but very high quality. Off the wall shite like Tater Tots ro waffle fries with truffle oil, caramelized onions and gruyere cheese. Maybe the most decadent mac and cheese you can imagine served in little crafts. Grilled cheese served in points, but made with amazing bread and exotic cheeses. Have a very simple, but quality wine menu. Have shite beer, and 3/4 solid microbrews on tap. Make it welcoming, and have it more of a gastro pub type setting, with booths as well as stools in the bar area.

eta: stay open an hour or so past the bars.

this is a really neat idea and something i would look forward to. however, i don't think it could work in a place like BR. i don't see college kids passing up louie's or pluckers for gourmet (and ultimately expensive) food.

it is a good idea though and i would definitely go to a place like that

Around LSU?-Probably not.

Downtown or the Bulldog? You probably would get a decent amount of business.

Besides, I doubt Tigre had a bunch of sophomore wankers from LSU in mind when he hatched this plan.

No I don't think he plans on catering to LSU studnts but I'm thinking of the majority of people who do late night eating in BR. Like I said, I'd love to see a cool place like this open.

yeah, wasn't even neccesarily thinking BR. If it was BR the only near campus that would sense might be Perkins overpass area or MAYBE downtown.

Regardless, it's just an idea and i havent' pursued it and don't really have the time to devote to a massive project like that right now.

The price point would be more along the lines of a Parrain's appetizer. Tiny bit more than the Chimes, but much more refined....yet still fun and casual.

think of it as American/white trash/stoner tapas with a skilled touch.
