My favorite was Polski Wyrob Polish pickles. Now they're probably sold as just Polish pickles. Polski Wyrob isn't a brand, but a type.

The not hot jalapeno is great

Also Prasek's Hillie Smokehouse has some good pickles. I like the garlic chip pickles.

2:1 (cup) water:vinegar, up to you on the salt and sugar. I usually prefer saltier rather than sweet, so I'll do like 3 tablespoons of salt and a teaspoon or two of sugar.
