In all honesty, man, if you're looking for good seafood w/out the hassle of a wait go to Mike Anderson's on W Lee. They do everything as good, if not better than most seafood restaurants in BR. Plus, they always have gigantic oysters. Went there about 2 months ago and they were the only place serving them raw, and they were huge.

I think it's the same people that own the Chimes. At least it use to be. More seafood dishes, but sometimes the Chimes has good fish specials. So take it for what it's worth. I've been once, and it was good, nothing great, but good.

I actually like their fish dishes. LL is much better, but it is fine. I eat at the bar all the time.

I've only been once and I only had chargrilled oysters but they were REALLY good. I initially ordered a dozen but wound up eating 2 and a half dozen. I couldn't stop eating

That is one sad restaurant. I get depressed in there.

Yea, they could use a lot more lighting. The outside, covered porch is actually really nice during the summer evenings. But that's only used for functions/parties.

The food at Mike Anderson's blows Parrains out of the water. Don't be that guy. Just because it is popular doen't make it bad.

I don't like "huge" oysters.

I do like Parrains though.

It is popular with people who like tired old restaurants with prices that don't match the quality. I put them in the same bracket as TJ Ribs and Fleur de Lis.

I'm not saying it's the best by any stretch. LL is my favorite seafood in BR. They do have good and consistent food. Parrain's has a much nicer atmosphere, but the food just isn't that good.
