Is it already up for sale? He only had it a year or so huh? Might run by there for lunch...

eta: To stay on topic, I do not really have any great recipes for chili but am doing a deer chili this weekend.

That reminds me of my part time job at Bulldog Liquor while in college at Moo State in Stark Vegas. On payday, I'd write the boss man an "even up" check to settle my tab, after credit for my earned wages that week.

That's the word on the skrete. I went yesterday evening and had some beers. They have some awesome drink specials. 3-6 is happy hour, everything is 1/2 price. Then 6-9 is 1/2 price craft beer. They have a pretty bigass selection of beers too. Between there and Enoch's I have a bit of a headache today. I need some ground meat chili..

go to Sam's, buy a crapload of Hormel. Pour into big pot and see where you rank.

hey, i was just curious how well a big bowl of Hormel chili would actually do in a cook-off. Judges can suck sometimes.

But really, ground beef in a chili is for white trash.

Agreed.

Chili-flavored sloppy joes isn't what I want to eat when I make chili.

Likewise, when I want chili, I don't want the dish to be littered with stew meat.

Here

This one will cook at a school. Might add a little more chili powder because they will like it hotter than this one in Fort Worth.

it's not for a bunch of kids I don't think.

If I were him and cooking in a competition, I'd go a little further than just doing the very basics.
