frank davis' "seafood notebook" is an all time classic, and the recipes are easy and well written
I was not familiar with this book, but so many here like it that when I passed a used bookstore today I popped in to see if they had a copy.
Nothing in the Louisiana cookbooks section, so I figured I was out of luck. Browsed the "men cooking" section with BBQ and grilling books and happened to see a fish book on the bottom shelf. There was a small section of seafood books around it, and a hardbound copy of Seafood Notebook was hiding there for just $5.
A nice lady customer insisted I use her store credit, which knocked it down to $2.50. What a deal.
That was the most excitement I had today.
