rvierside patty on seign is better. i like to get what i pay for . not as greasy and biggest hmbrger in BR.

Way back in the day when it was the drugstore, it was a great atmsosphere and similar food that may have been better or not, maybe the nostalgia of it all makes for a better memory having a bit of revisionist history? Being a kid, riding a bike there with friends, reading car mags, sports mags, comics, while waiting for your order.
Today? Good not great greasy fare, and slightly overpriced. The same goes for Riverside Patty, of which was better a decade ago downtown, the one off Seigen is a letdown.
Tramonte's same thing, the burger is too big, and tastes of overdried meatloaf, though I really like their meats and market.

He closed it about two years or so ago and a new guy bought it, revamped the interior some and reopened. It's much better than when billy b had it.
I'll say this though about billy b, he bought the place when the Dearmans were retiring because no one else would and he had worked there years ago and just didn't want to see it go. If he hadn't done that it wouldn't be here today even though it had a hard time while he owned it.
I used to eat then buy cinammon toothpicks in a wax wrapper when I left.

Dearmens is a little overrated in my opinion. The hamburgers are ok, but they're just greasy & plain tasting. Their shakes are good.
