The wife and her daughter were out of town for a week and got back home yesterday afternoon and I had fixed a large pan of lasagna with ground meat and my homemade Italian sausage in it. Also did some garlic/cheese bread to go with it.

I just had a helping of that at 8:30 a.m. and that should keep me full until we eat tonight.

I did an over night pork shoulder. The ham is about to go on.

My girls are making Cuban sandwiches with it all later. I can’t wait.

Dang!
I'm about to sear off a sirloin tip roast and throw it in the crockpot for Italian Beef Sandwiches for dinner. Going to whip up big breakfast after I cut the grass.

Continuing with a bloody maria. Counts as food because there is a pickle and olive in it.

I just made a little spritzer with Kirkland reposado, soda water, lime juice, and fresh mint.

Coffee is going. 5 big onions are about to go in the dutch oven with butter for tonight.

Whole foods is driving the 40 miles to bring me some chuckeyes, slaw, potatoes, and fresh fruit for dinner.

As long as they don't forget the italian meats for some nice sandwichs around 3... I'm good to go.

Unfortunately, the wife has to work this evening. She's going to be pissed when she sees the spread for me and the kiddo.

Have an aladino maduro just waiting for when he takes his afternoon nap.

Damn. Jealous. Sounds awesome.

I’m not the cook today but somehow ended up turning the 1 dessert I’m supposed to bring into 4. Chessman cookie banana pudding, lemon poppyseed scones, Cinnamon Toast Crunch cake, and fudgy brownies.. with Christmas sprinkles because it’s what I have.

Not really. I don’t plan on repurchasing when it’s gone.

I typically braise and make a softer stew with carrots and cream. Lately I’ve gotten away from them because of the bones. Maybe there’s a way to debone, stuff and smoke?

I was thinking about roasting it whole with carrots and see how tender it is then. If it’s touch I could then braise it

Maybe a quick roast on the pit? Seems like it would need some fat to go low/slow
