I used to work in Veracruz, Mexico. Indio was my daily drinker. Negro Modelo or Bohemia otherwise. I don't know why Indio isn't available stateside - it blows away the usual suspects.

This is like asking which is better out of Bud, Miller or Coors. Mexican beer is good on a beach, not because of the beer but because of the beach.

I totally forgot about Indio for the reason they don't sell it here. I spent a week in a small coastal town and ended up buying the local grocery store out of Indio. Compared to the great beers of the world, it doesn't come close, but compared to the typical Mexican swill, it's head and shoulders better than anything else besides maybe Negra Modello. Indio is also the only widely distributed Mexican beer not owned by Modello/AB. I think Heineken owns it.

Can't stand Corona.
Never had a bunch of Mexican beer but I remember Dos Equis not being too bad.
ETA: Forgot about Pacifico. Only had it a couple times but I remember it being pretty good.
