Not saying the Apex bar's prices are reasonable. The reason they have beers from 2010, 2011, etc, is because they are high. The Beermongers across the street is much more reasonable, but they don't have any vintage beers, either...
One thing about Apex is that they sell verticals. Expensive, but it's the place to go for that kind of thing.
UT has been to Apex. They specialize in vintage bottles and the best damn daily tap list you can find, anywhere. I think when UT was here, they had 25 different one off IPAs using 6 different experimental hops from Boneyard, F-w, Melvin, Russian River, etc...

Geezus, Rouge. How old is that thing? You know you're not supposed to age those, right?

Looked at The Beermongers real quick. Same bottles run between $6.95 and $9.70. I'd say $7.99 is pretty solid.
Another thing I just confirmed is that in order to be a hipster, you have to hand your man card over to your wife/girlfriend... Just saw a hipster dude tell his SO what he wanted and she ordered for the two of them. Honest, he looked like he was about to have a panic attack if he had to order his own damn beer. shite happens a lot here.

4miles, Rouge, and I closed that joint and went on an epic search for late night food. There was no Taco Bell within 10 miles. We improvised...

My comments on the Crooked Stave stuff:
My understanding was this was a test shipment/ teaser for the nuit Belge event coming up in NOLA. The prices might be a result of that. As 8YS said, they've steadily raised prices in Denver, even at the taproom and at other beer stores that get a steady supply. I think the prices y'all got are fair, as I've actually grown away from some of their beers. They've got some solid beers ( I love dry hopped vielle)), but they try reall really hard on some others that don't hit. Have had a couple tap room beers that borderline vinegar on the sour attempt. Just my opinion.

NBD is a home brew IPA, STARS- An IPA. After a few brews with a fellow boudin magician this afternoon

It is in conjunction with the Nuit Belge event. They worked out a temporary distribution license for the event -- once it passes, my understanding is the Jester King and Crooked Stave stuff will disappear. People have speculated that it's a test distro to see how the market responds. I've been told that's not the case. But we will see. The Alpine stuff was supposed to be a one time distro, but that still shows up from time to time. I hope the CS stuff is the same way.
I don't think the prices are bad -- they're cheaper than what I've paid when I muled it from NC. I think if it's something we had regular access to I wouldn't be as inclined to pay it, given the price point. But it does make for a fun treat right now, and perhaps on occasion in the future if in fact it continues to show up.

No doubt. If it was on shelves where I was for the first time, I'd snatch it up as y'all Have.

Anybody else get any of last month's release with this release? Bought these today. I'm not complaining though, better than when it was 3 days old that's for sure
