And you dodged the Bomb Cyclone. Where'd you go, what did you like? What didn't you like?

still here, day 2

yesterday we got in late due to horrendous traffic around Atlanta we just checked in, went to the show at atkins (awesome) and then an after show at the Georgia Theater (also awesome). Today we walked around downtown, went to Paloma Park for lunch and they had a huge party with bands and vendors. That was great. Tonite is show 2 then an after show at Live Wire, will be a hoot.

It’s still pretty cold and windy but the sun has been out. Everyone has been cool and friendly.

Caffe REL in Franklin, NC. Not open on sundays and mondays though.

highlands is very nice we got here yesterday. Old Edwards Lodge is excellent. Went on a hike today and walked around town most stuff is closed but the weather is nice and we have the place to ourselves for the most part. We will definitely come back here

Highlands Tavern is right off main st and is casual and more bar like but I think had the best food we had.

I didn't try old edwards lodge.

2 thumbs up on the pizza place. Excellent meal and cocktails. Four65 is the name of it. Tomorrow we are heading to Asheville going to swing thru cashiers and check that out

If you like beer and IPAs in particular, definitely go to Burial Brewery in Asheville. I am kicking myself for not buying more of their quadruple ipa to bring home

Thank you we will definitely do that. It’s 60 degrees and sunny here in beautiful highlands NC I wish we were staying another night, but got to get to Asheville. Weather looks sketchy after tomorrow though oh well. We’ve had outstanding weather so far on this trip, especially for February

Their smash burger and crispy potatoes at Burial are also fire.

If you wanna bring me back some quadruple IPA, I'll pay!

ETA: Especially if it's the "Put it on my Grave" quadruple

Fortunately for you we are driving so I’d rate it as a good possibility LOL. Sounds like we need to check it out anyway

Just rolled into Asheville and got into the room. Right downtown I can see the arena from my window. Nice and warm today

The drive from highlands was amazing, stopped at all the waterfalls and stopped in Sylva to check it out, cool town

There is a little coffee shop called Flour in the bottom of a building downtown that has a mini food court. It might be the best biscuit I've ever had. I highly recommend.

night 1 in Asheville was a blast. We had tapas and sangria at a place called curate which was excellent, got all spun up at the Billy show and then wandered around downtown and got late nite food and beers at the one stop. Massage this morning and then we will go see the town.

Asheville is great

You were spot on about the flour biscuits, amazing. Yesterday we walked around downtown some more, did some shopping, got massages, ate at Mamacitas (excellent), went to the show and then partied a bit afterwards. Cocktails at Asheville Club and beers/burger at the vault. The burger was incredible one of the all timers.

This morning we went and got feet pampering at a spa (soak and massage) which was sorely needed, walked around some more and got lunch at Botiwalla which was insanely good. We are going to go hit some breweries in a bit I’ll see about getting you some IPA. Tonite we are having dinner at Neng Jrs and then a bluegrass show at grey eagle

Sun is out but it is FRIGID here

wow! Which location did you go to? I went to the one downtown and the store was stocked! Did you have anything at the brewery?
