Fried Chicken
Boiled Peanuts

I sometime prefer them cold over hot at times.

OK, I'm talking about leftover roast here, not steak. I had a leftover rump roast, some Romaine lettuce, some mushrooms, olives and salad dressing.

Cut some rump roast into cubes the size of dice and mixed it into the salad cold. It was GREAT.

You know what is funny? I recently looked in a Southern Living cookbook for some quiche recipes because I was looking for something new to have for breakfast and had not made one in years......and a third of the quiche recipes in the book had been contributed by MEN (as compared to most categories, where it is rare to see a recipe contributed by a man, unless it is a steak something-or-other....)

I just thought that was pretty funny, given that old expression.....

And regardless of what "real men" do or don't, cold quiche is excellent.....
