Never tried the burger.. The red beans and rice and their fried chicken is stellar though.

It is The Quarter. Throw a rock and what it hits will probably have good red beans and rice at least.

I am only SORT OF joking. Try a great place, but try a hellhole as well. Just walk into a bar that has dining seating.

Bayona's for a great atmosphere, and high end food.
Also love NOLA's.
If you want the hole in the wall, then I second
the love for Coop's. Small place though, so you'll
probably have a wait- try the jambalaya supreme
with rabbit and chicken.

K Pauls does a deli style lunch on Thru-Sat

Tuesday through Saturday now. Went a couple of weeks ago and it was great. They change the menu every week and have some great entrees in addition to the poboys and salads. Very reasonably priced.

Its wonderful food, just don't get insulted when you don't quite get treated well. PR isn't really their hotspot. but the food is bangin

Ate there for the first time about a month ago and a group of us walked in and one of the waitresses gave us a look like....what the hell are doing? The place was full and we didn't realize you needed to wait outside until a table was empty. She kind of pointed outside and said you need to wait until a table's open. But she was really nice once we got inside.

Absolutely delicious though. I had the fried chicken and jambalaya. I was torn between that and the blackened redfish. Probably couldn't go wrong either way.

If you've never been to K-Paul's, try it, but I'd recommend going for dinner for a first time visit.

K-Paul's doesn't have a freezer, so you know what you're eating is pretty fresh.
