Whataburger about 4-5 miles from my home. Only joint open 24 hours and I will go make a sandwich at home over whata.

The grilled chicken fajita taco with avocado and bacon is the best thing at Whataburger.

I spend a lot of time in Los Angeles and Martinez/Concord CA. There are In N Outs on every corner and of course I've eaten there a few times. Give me a Wendy's double with cheese or a Whataburger double with cheese any day over that thin meat IN N Out crap with thousand island dressing on it. The fries are a joke as well. Over rated big time.

I used to fight for in n out because the first time I went, it was really good.
I went last week and the burger was fine, but the fries were just bullshite. Small and cold.
Maybe I’ve just had the 2 extremes and the real in n out is somewhere in the middle, but I’ve never had a bad experience at any whataburger.

In n Out might be the most overrated burger but Shake Shack is a close second. Shake Shack had lines out the door for weeks after it opened in Austin. I was pretty disappointed when I finally got around to trying it and haven't been back since. There are too many fast food burgers around here that do it better than both of those places.

Went to Shakes Shack in NYC and was very underwhelmed. Definitely overrated.

Deal breaker.. Ordinarily, the fries at Whataburger on Siegen are so salty they're almost inedible. But if you order Fries, No Salt they always come out mildly salted and hot because they have to make em fresh.
One thing about In and Out, their staff is clean and professional. You don't have to turn yourself inside out for them to get your order right. Whataburger and all other burger chains struggle in this regard.
