if anyone is looking for them in baton rouge the neighborhood wal mart on highland/lee had a huge display of black and gold king cakes when I went earlier. Didn't get one but they're right in front of you when you walk in

They also have them at Hi Do Bakery on the Westbank...which is the best king cake ever!

Gonna have a "make your own" nacho bar for starters. Add some good hotdogs and buns later. The toppings are universal. Mustard, onions, cheese, chili, jalapenos, meat, sour cream, guacamole, sauerkraut, tomato, ect...
Easy stuff. I don't want to miss even the pregame.

Thanks! looks like I'm making a trip down Jefferson Highway tomorrow.
Also, has anyone had the Sucre kingcake yet? Is it worth the extra $$$?

My uncle in Denver introduced it to me... sounds disgusting but it tastes amazing.
You split the jalapenos and rub some peanut butter in the middle... easy as that. But it's awesome

Sorry, to be exact, here's what I've done in the past:
You can get fresh or prickled jalapenos, but fresh are better. Remove the stems and seeds, then fill the cavities with the peanut butter. You can serve like that or bake it in the oven for about 20 mins @ 350 degrees.
Boom
