Wanted to say thanks to everyone on this board. I gave the wife the option on the place to go and she chose Pop's. I shed a tear as we drove right by Johnson's on the way. If I would have had a cooler I would have stopped and bought food to go and heated up today.
Pop's was awesome. I went with a classic shrimp and it was perfect - thought the bread was great (enjoyed the slight toasted and warm bread), and the shrimp where straight out of the fryer and piping hot. Wife got the surf and turf (debris and fried oysters) and she was very happy. That will not be the last time we hit up Pop's. Loved it. Now I just need to get to Johnson's.
