Google "Turkish recipes or food" and you will find ton of recipes.

Study shows Louisiana is the happiest state in the States. There is a simply formula to this: extreme poverty plus high rate of crime plus poor health and education rankings plus too much Gumbo leads to heavy drinking and drug taking. When you are that high and drunk you tend to be happy! No Problem!!

I am not from England. British people suck and although British food is tasteless food it is still better than Cajun food. I was there for a just a visit. I can't wait until I go back to Atlanta.

Those the "major" cities that I have visited or lived in. See where Baton Rouge ranks:

1. Atlanta
2. Seattle
3. Ankara (Turkey)
4. Miami
5. Damascus (Syria)
6. Vancouver (Canada)
7. London (England)
8. Cairo (Egypt)
9. Orlando
10. Amsterdam (Holland)
11. Dallas

Scroll down....

78. Baton Rouge

Is this a food list or a general list of cities you enjoy? I have been to Ankara and was mugged. The food was, well, shitty. Seattle has great seafood and I enjoy eating sushi there (Vancouver is a clone). I would put Tampa cuisine above Miami. Orlando is a joke, except for Emeril's. Amsterdam does not have an identifying cuisine. I've never been to Cairo, so I can't comment. London is great if you like Anglo-Indian fusion. Putting Dallas cuisine above BR is simply wrong. I have never been to Syria and have no plans to visit unless I am part of a conquering army.

I'd put Dallas cuisine over that of BTR.

While Dallas is obviously a large city with a great variety of restaurants, the food scene lacks soul.

Not saying Dallas is the end-all, be-all, just better overall food scene than BTR.

Grew up in Baton Rouge, graduated from LSU and lived there a total of 4 years since graduating. Just trying to give you a little perspective.

I love my hometown, but the food is just....ok.
