The risotto sounds like much more of a "rip-off" to me.

Don't know about ripoff, but $34 sounds really high.

The only dinner experience I previously had at MiLa was a $65 six-course tasting menu, which was certainly worth it.

Not so much this time around...

And neither is this simply due to the fact that it is chicken thighs?

I just recently ate there and the food was pretty good and the atmosphere was pleasant. I would agree for the amount of food that is plated, the menu is overpriced. I would also agree with one poster that it is the overhead. The place is huge with a ton of decor. Will probably not go back there because of being overpriced.

Also, being in the food biz, chicken thigh meat is more expensive than chicken breast.

The tasting menu and three course lunch are definately worth the price.

We've been buying boneless thigh meat for all sorts of dishes, it is absolutely better than a breast meat - in my opinion. As far as supply and demand goes though it does seem like it would be cheaper.

Sorry, can't be quite that forgiving due to the cost of what they put on my table.

Roasted Young French Chicken
Pickled Chantrelles, Fingerling Potato, Cabbage, Foie Gras Emulsion $28

Is that what you had? If so you paid for the wild mushrooms and Foie Gras Emulstion they threw the chicken, cabbage, and potato in for kicks

No!

This was pan cooked thighs - no mushrooms of any kind. Two fingerling potatoes cut up (not joking) and a couple of tiny crawfish.

Someone with me had it - I had the lamb.
