I like doppelbocks, like Ayinger Celebrator or Spaten Optimator.

The Old Chub Scotch Ale is also excellent on a cold night.

Parish.

I love Parish, too.

But, remember that the OP asked:

I live in Fort Worth so it needs to be something I can get in Texas.

You cannot buy Parish in Fort Worth. Trust me.

No idea if it's available in Texas, but give Yazoo's Dos Perros a shot. It's an easy drinking beer.

Samichlaus
Samichlaus Beer is also known as "Santa Claus Beer".

The once strongest beer in the world is back!

The beer is only brewed once a year, on December 6 (which is the day of Saint Nicholas), which makes it a relatively rare brew. It is in the style of a Bavarian Doppelbock, and undergoes unusually long fermentation by traditional cold lagering over a ten-month period, leaving very little residual sugar in the final beer.
