B, if you didn't make it prior to Happy Hour yesterday, I can save you a trip. They emptied the last of the keg into a growler for me after my buddy and I had a couple and I asked for a large go-cup. My buddy that was with me is in one of the home brewer's clubs, and says he thinks there is a chance Abita adds this to their rotation, as several of their others started as limited release and their popularity got them a permanent spot (Restoration Ale, other?). I thought it was pretty good, much better once it warmed up to near room temp.
Fortunately, I can go to the source to get some as long as Dale doesn't give all of it away.

Oh, and I had my first Unibroue Maudite last night. It doesn't taste like it was brewed in Canada. Could be straight from Belgium.

Unibroue is pretty much always on the money.
I don't really like the fruity ones, but that doesn't mean they aren't good for their style.

Yeah, I had that apple one the other day. I won't go out of my way to have it again.

Whenever my wife comes to avenue pub with me, all she drinks is the ephemere cassis. It's good but dammit it's expensive (the small pour is the price of a pint of most other beers there)

quote:I enjoyed Quelque Chose but I imagine most people would not. A Belgian Kriek blended with a brown ale brewed in Chambly. The fact that they recommend it to be served on the rocks or hot (122F-158F) peaked my interest in it. Tasted good on the rocks but was very syrupy and had a slight off flavor that was amplified when heated. Good for these cold winter nights though.

St. Arnolds Devine Reserve #11 Double IPA might just replace my favorite, Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA.

They had a name the beer contest and it came down to "Eleven" and "Endeavor". Lesser of 2 evils, I suppose.

Yea, going up to the bartender and saying give me an eleven might keep me from ordering one.

The Saint Arnold Sailing Santa (Blend of Elissa and Chritmas Ale) is actually quite nice.

They could call it Shite in a Bottle for all I care. As long as it tastes as good as the original, I'm good.
