Had lots of water weight to shed after this weekend. Hopefully still some more to go, but doubt it. Need to be good this weekend to make more progress.

I've got a wedding to go to this weekend on Sunday in Destin, but everyone is arriving Friday night. It's gonna be tough, but I have a good feeling. My mind is the right place right now and I know there will be plenty of whiskey to drink instead of beer.

I know a lot of body builders cut out red meat when they're trying to get lean for a show. I think it's just easier to get lean when you're not working hard to digest and metabolize red meat.
Well said
When doing a show, most body builders (myself included), go with more easily digested, less fat, and less salt proteins like egg whites and fresh fish.
I start mine a lot earlier than most because I like to leave room for adjustments about 1 month out from a show

Goin for some really low carb days this week.
Monday and Tuesday were good.
Made some blue oak style cauliflower mac and cheese with green onions.
So good.
Even better when it sets up a little and feels like real mashed potato.

I keep gaining & losing the same 4 lbs. I have friends who cut carbs, but have one cheat day per week. I've tried that, but I'm tired of weekends totally derailing my progress. Back on the "food is fuel" mantra.
How do y'all handle your diet with a SO? Does she/he eat like you do? My BF has the diet of a fat kid. He eats candy & pizza nearly everyday. But he's very athletic & doesn't gain weight. We cook a lot of meat for meals, but I have to actively avoid junk food, since it's always around. How do you handle it?

Sounds like the 'slow carb' diet... it works, but I find it very difficult to cut alcohol down to once per week with my current lifestyle.

You guy's keto recipes are phenomenal
There should be a keto cook book thread (the pizzas, mac and cheese, wings, etc...)

Steam the head
In a bowl add some:
Minced garlic that's lightly browned in butter
Some cream cheese
Salt/pepper
Mix in food processor or cuisinart
Fold in the green onion with a spatula
I put this mixture in ramekins and popped them in the oven for about 15 min.
Delicious

Yeah my weekends filled with liquor and beer have to be what's slowing me down too.
Sucks now that it's summer all I want to drink is beer while I'm outside in the sun. Gonna have to start trying that no sugar margarita mix this weekend and see what's up with that.

Too many free beer trailers at the things I've been going to on weekends. I even caved and bought a yeti to keep my free beer cold.
I at least try to get the lower carb beer!

Should have gotten an RTIC cooler

I just got a cup, not a whole cooler (draft beer at these things).

Not much better than a good IPA on a hot day.

I'm curious, why no more red meat?

Actually red meat takes more energy and burns more calories to digest but not much red meat is going to allow us to meet our macros on a diet like this. even something like lauras all natural grass fed 97% lean is not going to allow us to eat very much before being over our fat gram limit.

also red meat tends to cause bloat in many.
I am following the diet I posted starting on phase 2 and honestly I am losing weight too fast. I have gone from 191 on sunday to 184 this morning. I am also holding some water.
I honestly need to shed the water, get down to about 176 and carb up from there settling me down somewhere right below 180. This SHOULD put me at below 7%. Like I said should because I dont look like I am even close to that.
