Did a triathlon Saturday at lowest race weight ever, first after major shoulder surgery in September. PR'd both the swim and bike, not carrying useless weight helped.

I was a little worried about energy after being low-carb/IF for a couple months. Pleasant surprise, absolutely no issues. Loaded up on brown rice and oatmeal Thursday night through Friday afternoon, felt strong at the start, powered through the whole race, and wasn't wiped out afterwards like I normally am.

So my n=1 is that IF and low carb did not negatively affect my endurance athletic performance, and the concurrent weight loss helped.

Thanks again LSU777 for pointing me in this direction.

Another lovely keto day. Hit my macro's almost perfectly yesterday (7 over on protein, exact fat, and 7 carbs for the day) Workout felt great. Down 6lbs of water since starting on Monday morning. I figure things will be slowing down now, but not sweating it at all since I know I've got the diet working properly again.

Glad to see it went well and that the carb up helped. You frickers are crazy with your triathlons and marathons and shite. Better men than me thats for sure.

Going in for some back.

Can't deadlift yet. Don't wanna mess with this foot issue.

Never done back and didn't deadlift. This will be uncharted waters.

After, IF until noon when I hit Blue Oak.

How does it cause one to bloat?

I'm asking honestly because I've never heard of that.

You body builders are a crazy sort.

dunno the exact reason it does but for many when trying to get contest ready they drop it completely because they feel it makes them hold water. It could be the naturally occurring creatine in the meat, I dunno. I just know what many experienced BBers say and feel.

NEED

306/284.2/220

New low by like .2. Good week of eating.. couple of days I just wasn't very hungry. Going for a 24 hour fast today to cap off a good week. Also planning to be good this weekend. Have a crawfish boil to go to Sunday, but otherwise just household chores to catch up on so no good excuse to drink

I weighed in again and changed my weight to what scale said.

It's been awhile since I was below 230 probably a year and a half.

Decided I'm not gonna weight myself until Sunday rolls around.

Keto update: my pants and shirts already feel like I have more room in them. I'm sure I lost a good bit of water weight but I've been averaging 18 carbs a day since Monday and loving not having to worry about counting calories anymore!

Been staying around 196 (sometimes 195 - 200) for a couple of weeks now, but considering I went on a bachelor party cruise, was in a wedding, and had a birthday...I ain't salty about it.

It will be nice to get back on a solid eating schedule though.

I have.

It's tight, and cheap.
They had a guy washing his car next to #1's fairway where the chorus to the song was something about, "whiskey and wings"
