you are prolly doing one of three things

1) ingesting too many trace carbs you are not accounting for
2) eating too much protein and your body is turning it into glucose
3) not eating enough fat.

but I wouldn't worry too much about it, it could just be the time of day or diluted urine. Keep checking and so long as you are in ketosis you are good. Its the overall calorie deficit that really matters anyways.

The sticks are only good for figuring out whether you are actually producing ketones or not; and as long as you are producing ketones, you're in ketosis and that's all you need. Everybody's natural ketosis level varies. Don't stress out too much about how "in ketosis" you are. If your keto sticks show that you're in ketosis at all, keep it up.

When in doubt, up your fat intake.

too add on further, it's my understanding that ketostix simply measure excess ketones coming out in the urine...so if no excess is being produced it may show a light reading or none at all...that doesn't mean you aren't in ketosis.

Water intake can also cause lighter readings, so if you're doing it later in the day it could cause issues with the readings.

Either way, I wouldn't worry too much with peeing on a ketostix to judge your ketosis level. Just keep an accurate carb count and you'll be fine.

24-hour fast has been easy so far. A couple of bouts of slight hunger but nothing crazy.

I'm at ~19 hours right now. Should be in the thick of hunger and feeling bad.

Really should try to get a 24 hour fast in this week. I just get so damn hungry sitting at my desk all day.

24 hour fast completed. Easy. Only got super hungry once dinner started cooking and I smelled it

Broke the fast with a 12oz tbone cooked in Avocado oil with a pad of butter on top, homemade keto sensation salad w/walnuts and blue cheese crumbles, and sauteed Portobello mushrooms and white mushrooms cooked w/butter and jalapeños. 1200 calorie meal!

Right this second? Low, only .8 per pound of lbm so 135ish it what i will average for the week.

Essentially this week and atleast next week i will cycle cals and carb up every 3rd day averaging 1700 cals per day. Thats av3rage though and 5 of those days will be at 1200 per day.

On those days all cals will come from shakes with brain octance mct oil, grass fed butter and peanut butter made from just peanuts.

No carbs other than whats in protein shakes. On those days i am having 6 to 8 servings of bcaas plus 2 separate servings of leucine along with mega dosing creatine and glutamine. This helps protein synthesis, strength, endurance and muscle loss.

I dont recommend this at all. I am able to do it because i have a ton of experience and it sure as frick doesnt hurt that i am on testosterone replacement therapy and that my levels last week tested at the upper end of the range in line with what a 18-23 year old produces.

Also my job is crazy slow right now so i am sitting a ton. I am doing zero cardio other than walking, i am splitting my workouts to mornings and nights to keep them short and frankly i am just being very mindful of not over doing it. I am doing everything i can to make sure i recover.

Like i said dont do what i do though. Do what Bigger, leaner, stronger says.

I am halfway done the book now.

I'm sure you'd still recommend the IF as opposed to his multiple meals a day law.

Yeah for fat loss i do. People tend to adhere better to a diet i find and seem to get better results. Macro breakdown depends on how you handle carbs. If you get tored after eating a large carb meal keep them as your lowest % wise, if you tend to get energy from them, make them the highest % wise.

Gonna have to find what works for you.

Gotcha. About to get after this morning walk and morning shoot around.

Told one of my coworkers that's leaving that I'd take them to a local pizza joint today since they're leaving soon. Then have a date tonight. So tomorrow is looking like one of those 24 hour fast days for me.

313/212.2/200ish

went jogging again yesterday and managed 2.1 miles before the hill to the apartment got me. That last .2 miles is fricking killer (200 ft elevation change) Felt good most of the run, but about 15-20 min after it was over my calves were toast. I could barely walk, had to ice my leg + put on some icy hot. Couple hours later all was well again and back to normal, but holy shite that 2 hours was rough. Clearly there's some areas of my lower leg that needs some strengthening or something.

9 more days until I take a #Gainz pic again.

Waist is a lot smaller. Gut is smaller. Chest is stronger, shoulders a little bit stronger, legs are stronger, deadlift is stronger.

I guess I'm really gonna have to be strict about everything if I'm gonna get abs poking out. Been doing abs and calves after every workout for the last 2 weeks or so. I can feel my abs helping with other lifts. So I know they're getting stronger.

Y'all do abs before or after a workout baws?

There is no reason to limit protein. The body won't raise your blood sugar levels above baseline because you are eating an all meat diet. GNG may happen, but it is not the scare tactic that it is portrayed.
