As per typical reviews on forums those who have them, love them and those who never used one, bash them.

I bought the hunting knife 30 years ago and love it. 3-4 years ago I was at a outdoor show and stopped at cutco display. They were offering 5 knives of my choice for around $350 plus a great deal on steak knives. I chose the Trimmer, Boning, carving, chef and paring. These 5 will handle just about any kitchen cutting duty I have.

I love them and would buy again, although I think buying a large set is a bit of overkill and unnecessary.

you might want to qualify this by clarifying it's the Ikon set that is world class. Wusthof has several garbage lines
