If we start calling out restaurant owners should we also call out people that make reservations and then give good reviews after they get part of the meal free as enticement?

We both know this isn't the same.

well, of course it isn't. you aren't in the restaurant owners column.

FWIW, I don't see a problem with owners posting on here. As for the advertising it is up to Chicken. He lets MileHigh get away with posting his employer's logo, there is another guy who posts with the name of his steel company as a sig picture.

MileHigh works for the corporate office of Wendy's. He doesn't benefit directly by us knowing his place of employment as down a local business owner.

I haven't seen this one. And maybe the admins haven't seen it either or I am should they would take corrective action.

Will Cover, thanks for the info. I just suspended that user and sent him an invoice.

I am not a fan of people promoting their retsuarants on the sly. Has Plan9 been banned yet?

You guys ought to check out this great place to eat. It's called Jimbeaux's Kitchen. The service is very informal, but usually friendly. The prices are very reasonable - free if you have reservations. Tonight, the special is shrimp stuffed bell pepper, my grandmother's recipe. We still have room for two guests, but you will be seated uncomfortably close to an 8 year old boy, Jimbeaux, Jr., who's table etiquette leaves much to be desired.

We deal with Melissa, but I am not sure if she is related to the poster on here.

Some of you on here have no life if you are having to worry about calling out people who make comments. I wonder how many people who have made genuine comments on this site that you have spammed because you "thought" you knew they had something to do with a place. I have a friend who was spammed on this site who doesn't work for a restaurant or own one. All you will do is piss off people if you spam them and give this site a bad rep.

Let them make the comments... owner or not. Be glad you live in America & you have free speech. Things could be worse than a restaurant owner posting here.

Besides, in general, you hear more of the bad than the good. There are always two sides to every story. How would you like it if people in the restaurant industry had a site to talk about crappy customers and then spammed you if they thought you were one who wanted to give your opinion.

It might actually be nice if some of them would give tips or share secrets. I would love to know how to make corn grits and would welcome the Zeas or Coyote Blues owner or manager here to just give me a tip... hint.. whatever.

Winner, Winner, Chicken Dinner

It's one thing to post to get feedback for your place. It's another to slam your competition in the process.
