here isnt much depth to the menu but I chose Mae and Co.

It's pretty small scale but what they do, they do very well.

Herby K's. I'm sure others will have better options, but it's my personal favorite every time I go back.

I'm personally a fan and it is very Shreveport... the shrimp buster being the unique dish, but I find it's hit or miss with outsiders. It's a good dish and a neat concept but half the people I take to experience it are like... ok... but why did they do this??

Butterflied flattened shrimp isn't unique to me since its in every Chinese restaurant around Shreveport. Besides cold beer and decent red beans I don't get the allure of this place.

I like the dive vibe...fits the dish and I love a good beer chalace...although if they don't have something I want on draft it kinda ruins my whole visit

It was great back in the day but has gone down hill over the past 10 years or so.

Maybe I need to try it again, but what I remember is Chinese restaurant style butterflied fried shrimp, garlic bread and ok fries… ice cold frozen beer though! Lol

Eh.... they are pounded a bit flatter than Chinese style, similar breading though. The sauce is unique but it's not great...a bit thin imo. Fries are mediocre. Honestly ambience and beer challace are a bugger draw than the special.
