I LOVED Uglesich's shrimp and grits app with the grit cake. I like grit cakes. The sauces over a crisp cake with the creamy inside is great, texturally. Peeled BBQ shrimp leftovers over a grit cake make for a delicious treat.

At my house but I've had it at Beausoleil. It's more tender than grillades and a little more fatty so a bit more rich.

Go try the grits bowl from City Pork Deli. Smoked corn grits topped with pulled pork. It's divine.
