Sullivans has two things going for it. The Ringside bar and good looking waitresses. That is about it and the service usually sucks.

Who you got in BR?
RC

I like the atmosphere at Sullivan's better, but Ruth's is much more consistent. I think the steak is just better at Ruth's...thought it was seasoned better.

Sullivan's is the only place in BR that has steak tartare. They get a nod for that.

RC has the best steaks.
Fleming's has better sides/apps/desserts, better atmosphere, and better service.
If Fleming's cooked steaks like RC...holy crap.
ETA: And Sullivan's just sucks. They served me broken Hollandaise and ice cold steak three times before I walked out without paying. Will never go back.

Toss up depending on the day. Usually Ruth's is better.
Steak question. Is someone who advertises
US Prime actually serving USDA Prime? More a question of labeling and product really. Anyone know offhand?

Ruths claims USDA Prime and Sullivans claims

Sullivan's Steakhouse offers Midwestern, corn-fed, U.S.D.A. high-choice
Not sure what "high-choice" is other than them trying to glorify and make an excuse for charging USDA Prime prices for USDA Choice.

Any idea about the requirements for being able to list US versus USDA for prime meat?

It's been years since I've been to Ruths....What steak on their menu would you think is the best seller? This thread is getting me pumped to head over there for one.

Outback
Speaking of wedge salads, Outback has a great wedge salad as well. But for the difference in the restaurant atmosphere, I put Outback's food right up there with Sullivans. They actually serve the same type of steak as Sullivans.

Ruth's...Sullivan's has some nice items on the menu but when I think steakhouse in Baton Rouge Ruth's is the only real fix for me!
