Yes, the lubricant for zippers helps. My older soft side came with it when purchased. I now just use the vaseline chapstick from Dollar Tree. Works great. $1.25.
No. They need to be wiped out. Too much damage.

Humidity aside, that seems like an open invitation for easy theft, even if bolted down. Too visible and too accessible.

We had St. Aug. Thick. No weeds. I never remember parents using any fertilizer or weed killer etc…. It just was. :lol:

I’ll second going back to soft sided after having a hard shell check in suitcase completely fall apart on my last trip. The entire body cracked and split from top to bottom. Carry on is probably fine for hard sided.

I have a few black diamonds and they were good. Battery operated. Trended toward Coast rechargeable and like them for the ease of use.
