Why? Do they actually know how to cook at the new one?

walk on's sucks. for some reason they got an in with local tv stations and are always getting promoted. i understand they got an in w/ lsu due to the fact that the owners used to play for LSU, but i wish they would move the radio show somewhere else. that place sucks.
i couldn't believe the espn dude went there for taste of the town last year, i was ashammed and embarrassed that he got sent there.

Is it possible for one group of high schoo/community college dropouts to prepare a bunch of Sysco products better than another group of high school/community college dropouts.

I guess he could have tried to seek out a place that does Alabama cooking in Baton Rouge (when did Dreamland in BR close?) and featured it.

since he went to a LA type place in Auburn?
I was frustrated when he went to Walk On's b/c in other cities he seems to find the local hole-in-the-wall that everyone has loved for 20+ years, but for BR he ends up a at newbie place that serves frozen food and the only thing good about it is the location

The fact that is making so much there was a determining factor in locating the new Walk-On's where it is.

Walk On's pays a $hitload of money to be a sponser of LSU in some way and another $hitload to host the radio show. LSU doesn't just offer to send of "THE" voice of LSU and the coach because they happen to like Brandon and Jack.

If is a bar that serves average food. Nothing more, nothing less. Probably a little better than a Fox and Hound and Damon's, but not quite as good as Chimes.

YA basically described the business model for about 80% of the restaurants in BR .. if someone is going to walk ons strictly to eat and are expecting a four or five star experience, they're culinary morons .. it is what it is .. and the sysco truck backs up to the chimes delivery door every morning too ...
