Staub Sale
Staub puts this 4qt on sale each November and we buy them for Christmas gifts and keep a couple in the closet for gifts during the year.
It’s a great small Dutch oven for a great price. It will perfectly fit a whole chicken to roast which we do probably twice a month. It’s a perfect size to make a nice soup or pot of beans and it doesn’t take up a lot of space or too heavy.
I have both Staub and LeCreuset and like both but use this one more than any. I have an 8 qt LeCreuset that my wife uses a lot for bigger things and I have the 14 quart Staub for Christmas gumbos and I use it as a sous vide pot too.
But this 4 quart is one everyone should have and it will get plenty of work.
I’ve posted it here at this time probably for the last ten years and plenty but it.
It’s the same price on most websites and some colors are 139 some 149. I like the truffle and the French blue. Great wedding gifts because they aren’t expensive and will last a lifetime.

I use a 7 qt most of the time. Jump up to a 9 if I’m feeding more than 10

I used a 5.5 qt Le Creuset for years, cooking mainly for two, and it was great.
Got a 7.25 quart Le Creuset , and it is now my go to, except for gumbo which gets a big cast iron pot that I don't even know the capacity of.
The 7.25 is pretty heavy, especially full of soup/stew, for a woman to handle, but it's a great size to upsize a recipe for leftovers.
