If you're dead set on wings, Plucker's are probably the best in town for consistency and variety.
Barcadia is a great stop on the north gate. They're known for their hamburgers, but their wings are pretty great (also half price from 4-7) and $.75 on wednesdays.
Other places worth eating at:
The Faculty Club, great dining experience on LSU's campus, and the prices are surprisingly reasonable.
Chelsea's, great food at a good price with their own stand out, unique dishes.
Kaminari, cheap $10 sushi lunch buffet, but really great for the price
Louis, the perfect greasy spoon diner. Get the hashbrowns
Waka House, solid sushi joint
The Chimes, simply stellar food with the best beer selection in town. Get the blackened alligator. Raw Oysters are half price from 5-7.
City Pork: a deli that sells all kinds of specialty meat products as well as sandwiches. Brisket is outstanding as is the big pig.
AM Mart: there's no better deal for a sandwich anywhere, especially at 3:00am. Get the Cajun Turkey
Inga's: better sandwiches than AM Mart, but more expensive, more options, and not open nearly as long of hours. Get the Inga's Best or Steak
Roul's: great greasy burger. It's a good contrast to Barcadia next door. Juicy Juicy

Pluckers on Nicholson.
My go-to order is 10 buffalo hot with a side of medium buffalo fries and lots of ranch, because I'm a fatass and that shite is amazing.

BTW louis hashbrowns are so overrated it is funny. Waffle house has better hashbrowns.

Has been for me too lately. I always get medium buffalo and they never have enough sauce on them anymore.
Honestly, I'd rather just cook wings at home. Cheaper and better.
