I agree with this. Got a bottle of the 125 last week. I found it close to the JDBP Rye. Very solid for the price.

I think it's fine as a sipper, plenty of others in the $35-40 range I'd buy over it though.

I didn't specifically state rye. I'm buying Bardstown or Penelope Wheater, knob creek rye, Michters rye to name a few

I wasn’t being rude, I was curious to find some other bargain ryes. I know there is a ton of value bourbons but I feel like the bargain ryes aren’t as prevalent.

It's on the much better side of ryes under $50, and it's disingenuous to start listing off bourbons.
I generally have a few cheaper ryes around between Pikesville, Rittenhouse, KC, and JD bonded for cocktails, but I prefer the Saz125 to most sub $50s including the aforementioned JD, Rittenhouse, KC, and Michter's.

I rarely do cocktails, but pikesville and michters are better than Sazerac 125 proof for sipping. JD single barrel rye and BP are better too, but those are $50+
I think it's a way over hyped sipper. It is a fantastic cocktail rye (already admitted this)
