Eta most HA dashboard examples I've seen are horrible. People are trying to put 7,000 things on them. I want this to be relaxing and not look like a 747 cockpit.

Reddit is obsessed with that shite

Mine is just simple entities with toggles
Why do you need the browser to be in kiosk? Set Chrome to open in full screen to your HA dashboard URL, then you can maximize youtube to fuil screen like normal via the dashboard

i saw this; that might be the final piece; this gets around YOUTUBE not wanting to go full-screen when in 'kiosk mode'.

Confused why you would want to do this... You can feed the youtube stream directly into the HA dashboard

Here's my dashboard yaml. Don't know how to copy and paste it cleanly into a post
I did a single pane dashboard. That'll play best with a single display IMO. Don't want to have to scroll up and down for stuff. HACs is also your friend for custom tiles and cards
Everyone> Soccer needs to be more physical!!!!

*soccer gets more physical*

Everyone> OMG way too physical!!!!
Built this dashboard in HA. Very bare, can be cleaned up with better looking cards, but I did this in like 5 minutes

Bottom left tile cycles between my sports teams and pushes live updates/stats

This dashboard can be changed from any device, so you would only have to update the Youtube video ID when he starts each stream. You can also use the swipe card for news related stuff instead of sports

just turn the screen on and it feeds everything in.

i'm honestly surprised no one has come up with something like this yet.

I don't know if that's even possible with what you want. Especially trying to integrate a youtube stream.

I think the best bet would be a Raspberry pi or mini pc hooked up to a nice touch screen monitor/display would be best. And then you can set 4 "borderless" browser sessions in each quadrant of the screen, one being youtube, a few being HA dashboards, etc, etc

How big of a learning curve is it to figure out HA?

It can be as easy or difficult as you want it to be lol

My perfect solution is a touch capable color e ink display. Those have been way too expensive for an unnecessary luxury item

100%. I want to get some to put in the kitchen, living room, etc, but way to expensive for something that isn't really neeeded
Here's my "alarm panel" that replaced my old alarm panel

And here's a panel that's on my back porch door
Nah I use Crestron POE touch displays for HA dashboards in my house. I had an old tablet at one point, but the battery swelled so bad the touch input became unusable

You spend $30 on a blaster box and do good to get $5 worth of product.

Aren't blasters of chrome like $50 now and megas $85?

Yea, it's out of control

The Billy Ripken F F card, shouldn't that card have soared in value?

Why would it soar? It's a highly printed card, plenty out there, and error cards aren't really that sought after. It's a niche card at best

I want to hide my fiber box

If it's an ATT Fiber box, that's 6u

24 or 32-port Ubiquiti PoE switch (leaning Ubiquiti)/quote]

2U since you'll want a patch panel too

probably 4u

an Xbox

Could probably share the shelf with the fiber box

Another 3-4u I would guess

Probably looking at a 15U rack, minimum. You could add a PDU to the rack to run all power to, and then have a floor model UPS to avoid filling more rack space. Navepoint makes some nice wall mountable racks with swinging gates
Ubiquiti fanboys are so cute
It would be best to run them in docker containers but follow these instructions all on the same server

Hopefully you're using Linux

Edit: and you can connect sonarr and radarr to prowlarr through the Web gui, so you can stop at that api part
