What time do they stop serving breakfast?

I think it's subjective - which makes racing over there on Saturday mornings even more stressful. Usually around 10:30 or so.

Is it the best plate lunch in BR?

It IS very very good. I used to live a block from there and loved it, BUT Dorothy's Soul Kitchen on Gardere is OUTSTANDING.

Zeeland definitely looks cleaner, but Dorothy's is cheaper and they give you twice as much food. They have a daily lunch special. You get a meat and 3 sides bread and i think a cookie for 8.50. Get the redbeans and rice for a side... has really good sausage. Steer clear of the mac n cheese tho.

where is this on Gardere?

and yeah, i do like Zeeland but you pay a lot there for a plate lunch compared to some of the soul food spots around town.

I second dorthy's and staying away from the mac and cheese. Its a cheese patty with spaghetti noodles. I used to stop by when i lived off GSRI. Dont leave without a sweet tea togo, its amazing.

Going south coming from burbank, its on the left in a little shopping center. Its the southernmost shop in that center (all the way to the right). I want to say its the first shopping center.. but i could be wrong. Its about the size of a living room but damn good food.

I love when they call my name to let me know my order is up. "CCCHHREEEEUUSSSS"

ETA: Some of the best pot roast you'll ever have.

Just had Zeeland for the first time. Love it

Got the Briskey with cornbread dressing, mustard greens, green beans, and a piece of cornbread

One of my favorite plates. Glad you liked it.

ETA: You must've switched out the sweet potato soufflé for the mustard greens. Mustard greens are good, but the sweet potatoes are orgasmic.
